Permanent Mobile Veterinary Surgeon, Dorset

We are working with a group of small animal veterinary practices in the Dorset area that is looking for a good all-round Veterinary Surgeon to join them on a full-time permanent basis. This is a mobile position where you will be supporting 5 practices in your allocated area.

The Practice:

Our client is a community of passionate veterinary professionals committed to providing truly exceptional care. They are set on building something extraordinary: creating the most forward-thinking and innovative place in the veterinary industry. Their mission to deliver progressive, around-the-clock care means their employees have the very best equipment and treatment options available, including in-house MRI machines and state-of-the-art operating theatres.

They provide ongoing support to their teams, both in practice and through a dedicated training centre. This empowers you to get the very best from the advanced equipment while being on your journey to veterinary excellence.

Dorset is a fantastic place to live! It's close to the sea, plenty of outdoor activities such as water sports and has good transport links to major towns and cities.

The Role and Candidate:

Our client is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join their fantastic regional team in Dorset. This role plays a crucial part in part within this family. It will see you working in different practice environments, allowing you to gain exposure to varied surgeries and learn from a diverse team of veterinary professionals. Here, you will create a large connection of colleagues, working together and sharing knowledge to deliver outstanding service and care for clients and patients.

Hours are 39 per week across 4-days with 1:3 half or 1:6 full weekends. You will be included on a bank holiday and on-call rota which is a fair share across all vets in the region. The on-call is to support the dedicated night team at 24-hr hospital practice if required, approx. 3 weeks of the year.

The Package:

This role offers a competitive salary depending on experience including £6,600 housing allowance, vehicle £2500 allowance, £1,500 CPD allowance with 3-days CPD leave, RCVS, VDS, and BVA membership fees. 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays.
