Due to our clients' continued growing reputation, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their modern, vibrant, independent, and family-owned practice in the Chichester area of West Sussex.
This is a permanent full-time role is for an ECC Night RVN to join a dedicated night team.
Based within our clients' beautifully refurbished clinic nestled at the foot of the South Downs National Park in sunny West Sussex, they are ‘more than a vets’ – a family that upholds the values of respect, humility, professionalism, and communication. They provide a personal service that their clients deserve, delivered with real empathy and care – because it is how they would want to be treated themselves.
Since opening the clinic has grown considerably and their close-knit team thrives on its family-style atmosphere, bonding clients and delivering impeccable client care.
The clinic is supported locally by our clients' hospital which they are proud to announce is currently the only independently owned hospital in the UK to have full RCVS accreditation as well as achieving outstanding status in all associated awards. In addition to this, they have 4 branches surrounding the hospital, all of which are accredited and designed to the highest standards with comprehensive facilities.
They have comprehensive facilities and equipment inclusive of ultrasound, dental radiography, digital radiography, dedicated theatre as well as separate cat and dog ward
The Role and Candidate:
The role will involve seeing first opinion emergencies alongside providing continuous care for the inpatients. - You must be comfortable with all aspects of general nursing and also be competent in emergency medical and surgical nursing including challenging anaesthetics.
You will be working with experienced and ECC dedicated vets who are both friendly and excellent team players and ANAs are also on-site to allow nurses to nurse.
There is a great relationship with the daytime teams in the hospital and branch practices, and have developed strong bonds with the member practices. It is therefore vitally important that the nurse who joins them has excellent communication skills and understands as well as values the importance of teamwork.
Although experience in emergency care is preferred this is not essential and they would consider applicants with a strong passion for this discipline. Funding towards an ECC certificate will also be considered.
They recognise the importance of supporting team members who are working night hours and providing a good work/personal life balance. They have designed a sustainable rota to allow this: 3 nights on followed by 6 nights off. This is based on an annualised hours system where the nurses cover each others holiday and CPD time -
In return, our client is offering a competitive salary dependant on experience - a great rota, 7 pm - 8 am, 3 on 6 off. Annualised hours so holidays CPD time included in salary and the 3 nurses cover each other's time off.
Our client believes in taking care of their team, through consistent communication, trust, and honesty, treating everyone in an individual way.
This is an exciting opportunity where you will work within excellent surroundings, supported by a family-style team in a thriving independent practice. We invite you to join our clients' family and be part of something special.
