We are currently working with a well established Tier 3 accredited RCVS practice based in the NW of England within easy reach of Liverpool & Manchester. They are looking to recruit a keen and dedicated Out Of Hours Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their existing team, working Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday.

The Practice:

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and caring veterinary nurse to join a practice where their primary goal is to promote the health & well-being of their clients’ pets by treating them like their own. This cat-friendly clinic has a team of friendly, driven, and staff that works to a high clinical standard in their well-equipped hospital that provides 24/7 inpatient care and out of hours service. 

The Role and Candidate:

This is a permanent out of hours position where you will be working Thursday night 20:00-08:00, Saturday 13:00- 21:00, Sunday 08:00-20:00 plus some bank holidays on a rota basis arranged with the other OOH staff. The role involves mainly dealing with the inpatients and any emergencies that may come in with the vet. They will be required to monitor anaesthetics for any emergency surgeries that need to be done. The candidate must have at least 1-year post qualification experience in practice. OOH experience is preferable but not essential as training will be given. There will be no lone working, the amount of staff around on the shifts varies but there is always a vet and an auxiliary nurse at minimum
