We are working with an established independent small animal veterinary practice in Bournemouth, Dorset that is looking to recruit an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse on a permanent basis. They are looking for an RVN to work 30 or 40 hours per week on rolling shifts of early and lates.

The Practice:

They are a friendly team of 1 vet, 1 RVN, 1 SVN, and 2 receptionist team in Bournemouth. This is a well-established independent practice that prides itself on remaining small yet experienced who offers their clients the best care for their pets. Whilst being an established practice they have continued to adapt with the rapid advances in diagnostics and treatments, whilst ensuring that their team is encouraged to continue their further education. Their facilities include in-house lab equipment, digital x-ray, and ultrasound soon to be included. The premises include a spacious kennel area to ensure that patients are easy to space out to reduce stress, with a separate theatre room and nursing room to give plenty of space for operations and checks,

The Role and Candidate:

Our client is looking for a permanent Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their team.

They are looking for an RVN to work 30 or 40 hours a week, with a weekend rota of 1-3 Saturday mornings.  You will be required to work early’s and late each week and cover holiday/sickness for SVN.  Your typical duties will include reception, theatre, and nurse clinics. 

Our client expects their staff to make their patients and their owners feel really welcome, so you must be confident and approachable.

The Package:

In return, our client is offering a competitive salary of between £19.000-£25,000 p/a (FTE) which will be dependent on experience and hours worked. The benefits include annual leave and they are happy to pay registration fees and VDS but everything else is very much dependent on the individual person.
