Permanent Part-Time Veterinary Surgeon - Slough

We are working with a lovely small animal practice in Slough that is looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join them on a part-time permanent basis. They are looking for a Vet with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a small animal practice that is also comfortable with sole charge.

The Practice:

The successful candidate will work closely with the Branch Partner to drive the practice forward, working alongside a Head Nurse and two Patient Care Assistants. The practice has been awarded a Silver Standard Cat-Friendly Clinic Award from the International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM). It provides exceptional veterinary care to Slough and the surrounding areas including dedicated cat clinics and puppy socialisation classes. 

This practice feeds into a 24-hr hospital for all their out of hours care

The Role and Candidate:

Our client is looking for a Part-Time Veterinary Surgeon to join them on a permanent part-time basis. This role will work 2-days per week, approx. 16 hours.

They are looking for a Vet with a minimum of 3 years' experience in Small Animal practice, that's is comfortable working both sole charge and within a team.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Joining this professional, personable team in the practice, you’ll deliver exceptional care by going beyond consulting to listen and empathising, putting patients and clients first, always.
  • As a qualified MRCVS, you’ll already have good experience gained in small animal practice. You’ll be competent in clinical examination and surgery and confident working in sole charge or as part of the wider team.
  • Sharing our clients' values of being trustworthy, caring, and progressive, you will have all the softer skills essential to working effectively, building trusting relationships with your colleagues, harnessing their one-team culture.
  • You will also display good communication skills and the desire to share your knowledge and skills by being an outstanding, positive example to others.

The Package:

In return, our client is offering a package that is dependent on experience including housing, vehicle, and CPD allowance pro-rata plus RCVS, VDS, and BVA membership.
