We are working with a well-established and friendly small animal veterinary practice in Croydon that is looking for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join them on a permanent basis. This role can be either a Part-time Head Nurse role or a full-time Registered Veterinary Nurse Role.

The Practice:

Our client has an established base with excellent connections to the road, rail, and tube links either into the city or into the commuter belts of Surrey or Kent. This is a spacious practice with a busy caseload. Their team benefits from having access to ultrasound, digital X-ray, consult rooms, prep, theatre, separate kennels, and cattery. They have 3 dedicated vets, 2 RVNS, and a support team who work together to deliver quality care and treatment to their clients and their pets at realistic and competitive prices. The client also has the added advantage of network support which helps define their overall strategy, care for their patients, and development opportunities for their staff. 

The Role and Candidate:

Due to the revising of their staff structure, our client is looking for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join them on a permanent basis. This role can be either for a Head Veterinary Nurse or Registered Veterinary Nurse, details are as follows:

Head RVN – would be part-time approx. 30 hours per week. Ideally, 6 hours p/day to suit someone needing to be around for school drop off/pickups (They can be flexible for the right candidate). The role will include rotating cover for Saturdays 9:00-12:30 (1 in 3) and duties of a mixture of clinical and light admin duties.

Or

Registered Veterinary Nurse – full-time 40hrs p/wk with shifts of 8 hrs a day 08:00-16:30 or 11:00-19:30 and rotating cover for Saturdays 9:00-12:30 (1 in 3)

The Package:

In return, our client is offering a very competitive salary that will reflect the role undertaken for example:

  • For the Head Nurse role, the salary will be circa £22,500 p/a (DOE)
  • For the RVN role, the salary will be between £20,000-£23,000 p/a (DOE)
