We are currently working with a privately owned, independent practice that has become an integral part of the local community in South East London which is looking to recruit a Registered Veterinary Nurse on a full-time permanent basis.
The Practice:
The practice focuses on the day to day veterinary care needed to keep their clients' pets healthy and a special member of the family. The current owner and her team of 3 vets and 4 nurses have always been dedicated to offering the latest best practices offered by the veterinary profession and work to 15-minute consultations. The surgery has air-conditioned reception and consulting rooms. Parking facilities are available free of charge outside the surgery and in adjacent roads which is an absolute plus in the London area. The surgery is equipped with up-to-date diagnostic equipment including digital radiology, ultrasound, microscopy, DCG plus blood and urine tests are also available on site. Other services include: behaviour, dentistry, fleas & worms, health checks, insurance, micro-chipping, nutrition, pet passports, vaccinations, spays & neuters.
The Role:
The role is full-time, working approximately 40 hours per week, on shifts of either 8:30 am to 4.00 pm, 12:30 pm to 7:30 pm, or 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. There is a weekend rota of 1:2 Saturday mornings, working between 8:45 am and 12:45 pm. There is no out of hours requirement.
The Candidate:
The successful candidate will ideally be fully qualified - although an unqualified nurse with proven practical work experience and veterinary knowledge would also be considered. The successful candidate will be personable, happy to deal with the general public, be very client focused and like assisting and helping people.
