We are currently recruiting for an independent, small animal practice with a friendly, family run team of Vets and Nurses. The practice requires an additional experienced Veterinary Nurse to join their team and oversee the day to day running of the practice on a permanent basis due to one of their current nurses retiring.
The Practice:
This is a family run practice that has provided veterinary care for over 30 years. Their 2 vets, 4 nurse team is based in a converted townhouse that has a very a loyal client base. The practice has been fully renovated and kitted out with the latest up to date state of the art equipment & has a purpose-built unit which includes reception area, large waiting room, 2 consulting rooms, operating theatre, separate facilities for cats and dogs, X-ray, ultrasound, endoscope, dental scaler & polisher, in-house laboratory and car parking. They handle most types of veterinary surgery such as: neutering, castrations, spays, dental, gastric dilatation-volvulus, basic orthopaedics, cruciate repairs, lump removal etc.
The Role:
This is a full-time role working 8hr shifts, the hours are flexible between 9am-7pm with a shared rota of 1 in 4 Saturday mornings 10am-12pm.
There are no out of hours requirements for this position.
In return, the practice can offer a competitive rate of £10p/h plus additional benefits, pensions, annual leave etc.
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have a mature attitude and experience with day to day running of the practice. This role with oversea a range of duties from in-patients, kennels and reception work. The other members of the nurse team all work on a PT basis, and this role is to provide ‘start-to-finish’ continuous care for clients, as the practice try to maintain a personalised service to all their loyal clients.
To qualify for this position, you must be fully registered with the RCVS and you must be eligible to work in the UK.
