We are currently recruiting on behalf of a friendly, small animal veterinary practice based in North Somerset. The practice currently requires a permanent Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their team of 5 nurses on a full-time basis.
The practice is a friendly, independent practice whose aim is to put pets first. The practice offers a high quality of care and a professional, tailored service to every client and animal's needs. The practice offers 15-minute consultations for an unrushed, thorough appointment. They have a dedicated team of 3 vets and 5 nurses. The practice is based in North Somerset and cares for all pet species including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs as well as other small furies and exotics. The practice also has a branch surgery, both of which are modern premises and are fully equipped.
This is a full-time role working a 40-hour week which is split between the 2 sites. The job is 4 days a week, working 08:30 am - 18:00 pm with a 1:4 Saturday morning which is 08:30 am -13:00 pm. The job involves all duties expected within a small practice including anaesthesia, kennels, reception, admissions, discharges and lab work. There is no OOH with this position and there is no Sunday work.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, driven and have a passion for Veterinary Nursing with 2/3 years’ experience.
There will be periods of sole charge where you will be the only nurse on site, so the ideal candidate will be confident. Own transport is required for this position as you may be required to travel between the two sites.
In return, our client is offering a highly competitive salary starting from £18,000 per annum dependent on the experience of the Registered Veterinary Nurse.
