We are currently recruiting on behalf of a lovely practice in Hornsea, East Yorkshire that is looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse on a full-time permanent basis. They are a busy practice with lots of opportunities for RVNs to use their qualifications. They are an independent practice and well established in the community, they were a mixed practice until September this year when they became small animal only.

The Practice:

They are a friendly bunch and the kettle is always on. They are a busy practice with lots of opportunities for RVNs to use their qualifications. This is an independent practice that is well established in the community, they were a mixed practice until September this year when they became small animal only. Therefore, they have some exciting plans for improvements in the small animal facilities, but already have both surgeries fully equipped with diagnostic and surgical facilities (digital x-ray, ultrasound, in-house lab incl. culture and sensitivity, blood analysis, endoscope, etc.)

The Role and Candidate:

The team currently consists of 6 vets, 9 or 10 nursing team (currently on 9, want to go back to 10!), 4 receptionists. They are a friendly bunch. With Covid, they are currently split into 2 teams across their two sites, but out of hours you would be required to work at either surgery and after Covid, you may well be required to work at both surgeries in the daytime.

This is a full-time role, where you will be working 7hrs per day, 5 days per week, 1 in 3 Saturday morning clinics (so 37 hours per week), and 1 in 9 or 10 weekends on call. The weekday nights on call are split between 9 nurses. When you are on call, you do not have to stay at the practice, you can be at home and are called out if needed. The vets hold the phones during the on-call shift.

The Package:

In return, our client can offer a competitive salary (DOE) and benefits package
