We are working with a busy first opinion Veterinary Practice in the Wakefield area of West Yorkshire that is looking for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their friendly and supportive team. This is a full-time role, however, part-time candidates will be considered.

The Practice:

Our clients' mission is to offer gold standard, compassionate care, and to ensure that they involve their clients; the owner, every step of the way.

They are incredibly proud of their close-knit team of committed and dedicated individuals. They constantly strive to develop their skills and expertise, to assist them in delivering outstanding patient and client care.

They aim to be a progressive, modern, and forward-thinking practice, able to offer cutting edge treatment options, preventative medicine, and expert long term care. They continually invest in the team, infrastructure, and facilities. They have 5 branches across West Yorkshire, supported by the main hub practice.

The Role and Candidate:

The role is rotational, therefore will involve working between the main hub practice and the branch sites. The duties are varied, but not limited to; nurse clinics, inpatient care, radiography, surgical nursing, and laboratory work.

The role is an average of 40 hours per week with 1 weekend in 4. Bank holidays are shared out amongst the team. Night shift cover will be minimal due to having dedicated night RVN’s.

This is a permanent full-time role, however, part-time candidates will be considered.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing gold standard care and will enjoy working in a fast-paced, supportive environment. Previous experience in clinical coaching or additional qualifications, such as certificates, would be advantageous. Professional development is actively encouraged and funded by the practice, therefore there will be opportunities to expand your knowledge and skill set. Ideally, you will have at least 1 year of post-graduate in practice experience.

The Package:

In return, our client is offering a competitive salary that is reflective of skills and experience with a benefits package that includes:

  • Company pension
  • Employee discount
  • Sick pay
  • Store discounts
  • Wellness programs
