We are working with a dedicated small animal veterinary practice based across 4 locations in Gloucester that is looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join them on a full-time permanent basis. You will be joining a practice that provides an efficient, courteous, and helpful service to all clients, suppliers, and external contacts, under all conditions at all times

The Practice:

This is multi-site across 4 practices in the Gloucestershire area that offer a full range of treatments from health checks to emergency operations and intensive care facilities for critical care. They run a fully equipped lab so results can be accessed as quickly as possible. In-house, the investigation is backed up with a referral to a large commercial outside lab who specializes in a fast turn around to get the answers as soon as possible. The imaging suite includes a state of the art digital x-ray machine with a floating bucky table for all things orthopaedic and cardiothoracic, a flexible fibre optic endoscope for gastrointestinal investigation, and a colour flow Doppler ultrasound machine for investigating soft tissue diseases and heart diseaseOne of the strengths of the practice is the extensive range of surgical equipment and surgical expertise they possess. All the practices are very friendly and you can even bring your dog to work.

The Role and Candidate:

This is a full-time permanent position where you will be working circa 35 hours per week, with 1 in 4 weekends and no out of hour requirements.

The role of the veterinary nurse is critical to the provision of high standards of client and patient care. In this role you will be a key member of the nursing team, working effectively with the Head Nurse to nurture great team ethics whilst providing guidance and support to the junior nursing staff and animal care/kennel assistants. You will work closely with all team members to ensure the smooth running of all clinical areas and kennels and will have clear communication lines with all other teams to ensure the practice is providing outstanding patient and client care.

You will be an RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse that has great communication and client care skills, you will liaise between the nursing team and other teams within the practice to ensure effective lines of communication at all times. Our client is looking for an RVN that has an interest in H&S to become their Health and Safety champion
