We are working with a long-established first opinion small animal veterinary practice in the Barnsley area of South Yorkshire that is looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join them on a full-time permanent basis. The position is suitable to both an experienced and newly qualified RVN, who wishes to develop their skills and knowledge in a supportive and skilled team.

The Practice:

Our client is a long-established first opinion Small Animal Veterinary Practice with a fantastic mix of bonded clients. They are able to boast excellent facilities; an emphasis on teamwork with an excellent support network for new staff members and high standards of both patient and client care. They are a large multi-site first opinion practice and their ethos is based on clinical excellence, strong collaborative client relationships, compassionate patient care, teamwork, and personal development. The central hospital is in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire and they have 11 satellite clinics.  

The Role and Candidate:

Our client is looking for an RVN who is interested and competent in all aspects of veterinary nursing. Your day to day duties would be involved in nurse consults theatre work and when needed also reception cover. You would need to already be a clinical coach or be willing to take on this role to allow them to set this branch up as a training practice going forwards. The key for them is finding someone who aligns with and shares their Core Values and has a genuine interest in helping the practice grow and develop the branch itself and also their own skills. For the right candidate, there will always be career progression opportunities as they’re eager to develop team members so that they can take their career in the direction they wish.

This is a full-time role where you will be working an average of 40hr p/week with 1:4 Saturday’s at their sister branch 8:30 am - 12:30 pm.
