We are working with an independent small animal practice in Stowmarket, Suffolk that are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their team on a permanent basis.
The Practice:
This practice aims to provide the best possible care in 1st opinion practice both medically and surgically whilst also investing in their staff and their individual ambitions. To assist the team in medical diagnoses, they have the usual in-house laboratory equipment with electrolytes, haematology, and biochemistry performed in-house. Their imaging suite includes an ultrasound machine and digital x-ray plus they have a state-of-the-art dental facility including dental x-ray.
Their fantastic team of qualified and in-training nurses are specifically allocated time slots to help with blood tests, sampling, laboratory work and minor procedures. A number of orthopaedic surgical procedures are performed in-house, and they are seeking to extend their expertise in this area. They believe that every member of staff can make a difference to the practice and have regular Continuous Improvement meeting to discuss new ideas submitted by all staff members on how to improve how the practice runs, both for a better workplace for their staff and to offer a better service to clients.
The Role:
This is a full-time permanent position. The rota includes theatre, Nurse Clinics and Kennels days with minimal reception work. Shifts consist of early finishes 4:15 pm and late 6:15 pm. It is a 40-hour week to include 1:5 Saturday mornings until 12:15 pm with time in lieu. There is no out of hours work. Schedule 3 encouraged. CPD allowance and RCVS registration paid for.
The Candidate:
The practice is looking for an enthusiastic and proactive RVN to join their friendly team. The ideal candidate will already have experience of working in a small animal, first opinion practice, and will have good all-around nursing skills.
