We are recruiting on behalf of an RCVS accredited first opinion hospital in Darlington, County Durham who are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their friendly team on a permanent basis.
The practice pride themselves on being a compassionate and knowledgeable team who work tirelessly to make sure their clients' pet is always given the very best Veterinary care. Established since the 1950s they are the only first opinion veterinary hospital within a 30-mile radius that are accredited by the RCVS. With a separate Cat and Exotics clinic, it allows the practice to treat cats and exotic species in a dedicated stress-free environment. Facilities include a bright and modern reception/waiting area, separate Cat/Dog/Reptile/Isolation ward, with diagnostic equipment including Gastroscope, Bronchoscope, Ultrasound, Digital Radiography, Electrocardiography, Wide range of anaesthetic monitoring equipment, Fully equipped laboratory, Blood pressure monitoring, Oxygen therapy, Dentistry, Sevoflurane anaesthesia.
With their own out of hours emergency service, 24 hours a day 7 days a week they know their clients will always see a familiar face who has access to pet’s medical history.
The position is a full-time permanent position, working on average 40 hours per week with 1 in 6 weekends and 1 in 6 on call.
The ideal candidate will be client/pet-focused, enthusiastic and compassionate. An interest in exotics is desirable and somebody who is ambitious and ready to hit the ground running. There is potential for the right candidate to develop and improve and head up a team.
In return, the practice are offering a competitive salary dependant on experience (potential to earn around £24,000 pa) with benefits including Pensions, CPD allowance of £500 per year, VDS fees paid and Pet treatment discounts.
