Permanent Registered Veterinary Nurse, Abingdon

We are working with a lovely independent practice located in Abingdon, Oxfordshire who is looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join them on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role that would suit an RVN with at least 3 years of in-practice experience.

The Practice: 

This is an independent practice that has friendly, welcoming staff who provide excellent veterinary care for your animals but with a personal touch. Being a husband and wife team they are creating a friendly, family-orientated practice where they know the patients well. This means they can tailor any veterinary treatment to what is really best for you and your pet. The team consists of 7 vets, 6 RVN's + training Nurse and an ANA, receptionist, and admin staff. The practice also has up to facilities which include:

  • Routine Examinations in our modern consulting rooms
  • Vaccinations
  • Nurse Clinics
  • Laboratory diagnostics
  • Digital X-Ray
  • Ultrasound
  • Dental treatment equipment
  • Surgery - neutering, non - routine soft tissue surgery, and orthopaedics
  • Hospital with separate dog and cat wards
  • Overnight care facilities

The Role and Candidate: 

This is a full-time permanent role where you will be working 40 hours per week, with various family-friendly shifts Monday-Friday. There are no out-of-hours required and the weekend rota is only 1:4 Saturday mornings consults.

Our client is looking for an RVN that has a minimum of 3 years of qualified in-practice experience. You will have experience working in all aspects of nursing.

This is a great opportunity to join a strong team of 6 RVNs, SVN, and PCA in a busy one-site, well-equipped family feel practice. They strive to allow their nurses to put all their skills into practice on a daily basis, including regular knowledge sharing within the team. The role will involve all aspects of nursing. As a busy practice, the successful candidate will need to have confidence in ever-changing situations and have exceptional clinical, communication, and organisational skills and strive for the highest standard of clinical and client care at all times.
