Permanent Registered Veterinary Nurse - Altrincham, Greater Manchester

We have an exciting new opportunity to join our clients' friendly, supportive practice team in Greater Manchester, earn a great salary, enjoy generous CPD funding, and work with a varied caseload.

Location: Altrincham, Greater Manchester

Practice Type: Part of a group

Facilities: In practice, they have digital X-Ray, ultrasound, and dental X-Ray machines. They also use Idexx machines for both internal and external lab work. In addition, to support the anaesthetic monitoring they have a multiparameter. 

Team Info: The practice partner holds a certificate in small animal surgery and has a keen interest in orthopaedics and works alongside one other Vet who is currently working towards her Surgical Certificate. The nursing team of 2 RVNs, 1 SVN, and 1 VCA is led by Head Nurse and the whole team is supported by 4 Client Care Advisors.  

The Role: They have an exciting new opportunity to join our friendly, supportive practice team in Greater Manchester, earn a great salary, enjoy generous CPD funding and work with a varied caseload.

Hours:

  • They are looking for a full-time nurse (40 hours per week) to join them in practice working 8-hour shifts and they can also consider a part-time nurse!
  • There would be some Saturdays (9 am-6 pm) on a 1-in-4 rota basis which is shared between the nursing team and is currently nurse-only consults.
  • There are no OOHs as this is covered by Vets Now.
  • They also ensure that all colleagues get a 30-minute paid lunch break during the day!

Salary: They can offer a very competitive salary for this role starting from £25,000 p/a for a newly qualified RVN.
