Permanent Registered Veterinary Nurse and Branch Supervisor - Caerphilly

Type: Small Animal

Location: Caerphilly, Wales

Practice Type: The group has 10 sites and this branch is fully equipped and also has its own in-house lab area, x-rays, and ultrasound machine plus the backup of 24-hour hospital and certificate holders.

Facilities: The branch has a good selection of modern equipment which includes an in-house laboratory and ultrasound machine. The group also has the added benefit of access to K-lazer, endoscope and we have a number of certificate holders throughout the group.

Branch Team: They have a well-established and friendly team of 1.5 Veterinary Surgeons, 1 Registered Veterinary Nurse, 1 Student Veterinary Nurses & 2.5 Veterinary Receptionists based on site with the added support from their certificate holders and other team members just a phone call away.

Role: They have a very exciting opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their friendly team. They are looking for someone who will be a strong leader and be able to really think on their feet whilst leading the team and developing the branch.

Hours:   

  • This is a full-time position working 39 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday between 8.30 am-8 pm.
  • They have the added benefit of no out-of-hours or bank holidays as these are covered by their Emergency care provider VetsNow.

Candidate: This role would suit an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse looking to develop their skills and take the next stage of their career by leading a busy first opinion practice. You would manage a small team with consists of 2.5 receptionists, 1 SVN & 1.5 vets and be able to fully use their Registered Veterinary Nurse qualification to the maximum daily. They actively encourage CPD and currently have several Registered Veterinary Nurses undertaking certificates across their group. They support Student Veterinary Nurse training so holding a clinical coach award or being willing to train would be an advantage.

Applicant Requirements: Minimum 2 years qualified RVN or experience in a supervisor role in past employment. They require someone who is able to work on their own initiative while also being able to work closely with the Senior Management team who are located off-site.

Salary: Up to £28,000 p/a (DOE)
