Practice equipment:
- General practice set up with:
- Digital CR dental radiography
- Separate dental suite
- Full in-house lab equipment (IDEXX)
- Ultrasound
- Endoscopy and bronchoscopy
- Multi-parameter monitoring
- Tonometry
- Theatre suite
- Four consulting rooms – two for cats and two for dogs
- Separate cat and dog entrances/reception/consulting rooms and wards
- RxWorks practice management system
- Separate quiet room for end-of-life discussions and care.
Role: Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated RVN is required to join their passionate veterinary team! Gold standard ISFM cat practice and Dog-Friendly Clinic Dog’s Trust certified.
Hours: Full-time - 45 hours per week
- Monday – Friday 08:00-17:00 or 10:00-19:00 on rotation
- 1 Saturday in 3 09:00-18:00 with a lieu day the following week
Your Main Responsibilities
Patient/Clinical Care – Their clients have a strong human-animal bond. Their pets are a very important part of their family. Their clients require thoroughness and attention to detail in every aspect of practice service and clinical approach.
Client Care – Excellent interpersonal skills are essential and you must be passionate about veterinary nursing.
Teamwork – Working within the RVN teams and wider hospital team, to contribute your skills, efforts, and personal strengths to help ensure a harmonious team ethos at all times.
Candidate Requirements:
- Client relationships are of high importance in this clinic, with an individual approach to each client and pet. Clinical thoroughness and implementing current, scientific-based methods is essential.
- You will require excellent communication skills, enthusiasm, and a desire to make people happy.
- Your role will involve day-to-day general nursing as well as running nurse clinics, maintaining and developing the practice clinical standards in line with their ethos, and having an active role in decision-making.
Skills/Exp:
Essential Experience Required
- Experience with face-to-face consultations
- Worked as a RVN in a busy hospital or practice
Desirable Experience
- Previous experience in a 24-hour Emergency Critical Care Centre
- Awareness of the operational aspects of the practice that affect practice profitability

- Self-aware, positive attitude, and receptive to change
- Effective communication skills within the team and with clients
- Ability to work as a strong contributor to a team
