Permanent Registered Veterinary Nurse - Barnet, North London

We are working with a client in Barnet, North London that is looking to recruit a full-time Registered Veterinary Nurse to join them on a permanent basis. You will be joining our clients' professional, personable team in the practice, you’ll deliver exceptional care by going beyond consulting to listen and empathising, putting patients and clients first, always.

The Practice:

Our clients' mission is to deliver progressive, around-the-clock care which means their employees have the very best equipment and treatment options available, including in-house MRI machines and state-of-the-art operating theatres.

They provide ongoing support to their teams, both in practice and through a dedicated training centre. This empowers you to get the very best from the advanced equipment while being on your journey to veterinary excellence.

With a high volume of bonded clients, the practice has a very busy caseload. Facilities include separate dog and cat wards, theatre, digital x-ray, dental machine, and front-of-the-house pet boutique. It also benefits from 24-hour support and OOH care from our award-winning 24-Hour hospital with access to CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Endoscopic and Laparoscopic facilities, plus much more!

The Role and Candidate

This is a permanent full-time role where you will be working 40 hours per week with a mix of early and late shifts and 1:4 weekends. You will also be included on the bank holiday and on-call rota, this is a fair share across all nurses in the region to provide additional support to the night team, if required. 

As well as your day-to-day duties within practice caring for your patients and clients, you will have the drive and ambition to develop the practice optimising the client and patient experience, promoting safety while training, developing, and leading the entire nursing team.

You’ll also be proactive in maintaining your own professional and clinical skills, carry out accurate and timely reporting and explore ways that we can further develop our standards.

As an RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse, you’ll already have good knowledge of how a dynamic, practice runs efficiently and effectively. Sharing our values being trustworthy, caring, and progressive, you’ll also take the initiative in patient welfare and have caring, thoughtful communication skills. Just as important are the leadership skills essential to enabling your team to work as one and look ahead to see how they can be even better.

The Remuneration Package:

This role offers a competitive salary of circa £25,000 p/a depending on experience, and benefits package that includes:

  • £300 CPD allowance plus 2-days CPD leave
  • RCVS and BVNA membership,
  • 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays
