Permanent Registered Veterinary Nurse - Birmingham

Practice Type: Part of a group - They have two branches in the local area

Services/Facilities/Team:

  • The main practice is a fast-paced 3 vet 3 RVN, 1 SVN practice with digital X-ray, ultrasound in-house biochemistry, separate dog and cat kennel, separate theatre and prep room, and spacious waiting area.
  • They currently have one part-time receptionist and are currently looking to hire another.
  • The second practice is their smaller 1 vet sister practice.
  • As a nurse, you may work alongside another nurse, a full-time VCA, or our part-time receptionist. They have a really close-knit team, working together to encourage and support one another. This is helped by regular nurses' meetings, to ensure that nurses have their say!

Role: They are looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate, and proactive Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their friendly team.

Hours: This is a permanent, full-time role of 40 hours per week working shifts between 8.15-19.00 Monday to Friday across their two branches.

Weekends/OOHS: 1:4 Saturday morning requirement with no on-call or out-of-hours duties.

Skills/Exp: A dedication to providing high-quality care to both pets and owners is essential.

Applicant Requirements:

  • The successful candidate must be competent across all aspects of nursing including theatre and anaesthesia, radiography and imaging, in-patient care, occasional nursing clinics, and minimal reception duties.
  • They would welcome applications from newly qualified nurses or experienced student nurses as they have very supportive experienced nurses for you to work alongside.
  • A strong work ethic, great communication skills, and a good sense of humour are a must!

Salary: Salary up to £23,500 depending on experience
