Permanent Registered Veterinary Nurse - Cumbria

Type: They have a busy and varied caseload of small animals and farm animal work.

Location: Six-centre, mixed practice in the western Lake District - They're situated in the heart of the Lake District UNESCO World Heritage Site which presents a wealth of opportunities for walkers, horse-riders, kayakers, runners, mountaineers, climbers, paragliders, wild-swimmers and even skiers.

Practice Type: Independent Practice

  • They are a fiercely independent, six-centre, mixed practice in the western Lake District. They currently have an opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their friendly 27-vet and 20-nurse team.

Role: Due to the growth of the practices they are looking for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their friendly hardworking team. You will be joining their small animal team that enjoys a busy and varied caseload of medicine and surgery. the branch location is subject to discussion in the interview.

Hours:

  • Full-time preferred, 40-hour week over 4 days, plus weeknights, and weekends on call.
  • Part-time would be considered for the right candidate.

Out of Hours / On call:

  • They do their own on-call and inpatient care
  • There is an RVN in the surgery until 10.30 pm
  • Full Sat and Sun shift currently every 8 weeks
  • 1 weeknight on call every 4 weeks
  • 3 Saturday only shifts a year.

Salary: They offer a competitive salary of between £22,000-£31,000 p/a - depending on experience and role undertaken.
