Permanent Registered Veterinary Nurse - East Lothian

Practice: Part of a group

Team: Their friendly team is comprised of a Clinical Director, 5 Veterinary Surgeons, A Head Nurse, 4 experienced Registered Veterinary Nurses, a Practice Manager, and 3 Receptionists. Their team of Vets and Nurses are passionate about patient-centric care and will always talk through options of care with their clients to ensure they are making the most informed choices. The team has many different interests and we encourage further CPD and certification.

Facilities: They have a well-established surgery with a loyal and well-established client base. Their practice is equipped with digital radiography, they have modern ultrasound machines, and full in-house blood testing equipment. They also have good-sized theatres and consult rooms for their varied first opinion cases. They are also moving into a brand new practice, just across the road in Spring 2025.

Role: Our client is looking for an enthusiastic RVN to join their close-knit team. As one of their dedicated nurses, you will strive to maintain high standards of patient and client care whilst working together alongside the team, performing clinical duties as required.  

Duties:

  • All clinical aspects including running nursing clinics 
  • Assist in the training of our Veterinary Care Assistants. 
  • Liaise with all roles within the practice to enable the smooth running of day-to-day clinical work. 

Hours:

  • Ideally, they are looking for someone to work 40 hours a week but are happy to speak to candidates looking for part-time/flexible working hours.
  • The shifts can either be 4 x 10 hour days or shorter shifts across the week ranging from 8 am until 7 pm.
  • Their nursing team shares the Saturday morning rota 1 in 4 with no out-of-hour requirement.

Applicant Requirements: Must be RCVS registered and qualified, and should be a confident and experienced RVN. Further certification will be fully supported and funded. We can consider newly qualified RVNs as full support will be provided.

Salary: Up to £30,000 p/a - depending on skills and experience
