Permanent Registered Veterinary Nurse - Farnborough

We are working with a well-established small animal veterinary practice in the Farnborough area of Surrey that is looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join them on a full-time permanent basis. Our client has two practices that aim to give personal and friendly service with efficient top quality treatment.

The Practice:

Since the 1950's our client has provided consistently excellent care to the pets of the local areas.

The service they provide is personal and tailored to the needs of the pet, whilst always remaining affordable and accessible. Their genuine passion for animal welfare drives every member of the team, as demonstrated by the amount of work they do with local animal charities and rescue centres. Most of this is done with their own time and money – they simply couldn’t bear to see any animal suffer when they could step in and help.

Both of the practices are accredited by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS). In order to sustain this title, they must pass regular inspections on everything from hygiene and cleanliness to staff training and client communication. The fact that they hold this status means that clients can be sure their pet will receive the best possible care whenever they visit.

Both of their surgeries provide a full range of surgical, diagnostic & medical facilities including:

  • Vaccinations
  • Microchipping
  • Pet Passports
  • Free health checks and advice for newly acquired puppies and kittens
  • Dentistry, ECG, Diagnostic Imaging, Acupuncture and TSE
  • Soft Tissue and Orthopaedic Surgery
  • On-site laboratory – same-day lab results
  • Free weight checks and advice on nutrition
  • Nurses clinics: How to look after my pet, Dental, Senior, Behavioural, Nail clipping, Diabetes

The Role and Candidate:

Our client is looking for a full-time Qualified Veterinary Nurse to join their busy, friendly independent veterinary practice 4 vets, 5 nurse team. The working rota is completed on a month by month basis. The practice is well equipped, and they are dedicated to the high-quality client and patient care. They pride themselves on their teamwork and looking after staff as they do patients. With no out of hour requirements and only 1 in 6 weeks, this role supports a good work/life balance. The role would normally include working between their two sites but due to COVID, you will be based at one site.

Practice opening times:

  • 8:30 am – 7:30 pm Monday to Friday.
  • Saturday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm Sunday 08:30 am – 1:30 pm

You will be a qualified Veterinary Nurse that is registered with the RCVS. They are looking for an RVN that is friendly and approachable that works well as part of a team and always puts the patient first.

The Package:

In return for all your hard work and dedication, our client is offering a competitive salary range of between £21,000 - £25,000 p/a (based on 40hrs a week) DOE and benefits that include:

  • Holiday 28 days plus bank holiday (36 total),
  • Day off if your birthday falls during the week,
