Permanent Registered Veterinary Nurse - Gloucester

Location: Gloucester - Three practices around Gloucestershire

Facilities: They have an extensive range of surgical and diagnostic equipment available, with expertise on hand when needed. You will be supported by a medicine certificate holder and a highly experienced nursing team and have access to the wider Group team of referral specialists for further support and CPD. Certificate/further studies are encouraged and supported.

Role: The role of the veterinary nurse is critical to the provision of high standards of client and patient care. 

Duties:

  • In this role you will be a key a member of the nursing team, working effectively with the Clinical Nursing Manager to nurture great team ethics whilst providing guidance and support to the junior nursing staff and animal care/kennel assistants.
  • You will work closely with all team members to ensure the smooth running of all clinical areas and kennels and will have clear communication lines with all other teams to ensure the practice is providing outstanding patient and client care.

Hours:

  • Full time position working between 34-36 hours available
  • 1:4 - 1:6 weekends
  • No OOH

Duties: You will undertake all general nursing duties within the practice and provide assistance to all veterinary surgeons when required.

Candidate: You will have a minimum of 1 years post-graduate experience that is a team player and remains calm under pressure. Excellent listening and communication skills are a must for this position. You will be fully registered with the RCVS and confident in the use of IT packages, email and online internet browsers.

Branch work: Yes - you will be working between at least two of their branches
