Permanent Registered Veterinary Nurse, Hornsea, East Yorkshire

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a lovely practice in Hornsea, East Yorkshire that is looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse on a full-time permanent basis. They are a busy practice with lots of opportunities for RVNs to use their qualifications. They are an independent practice and well established in the community, they were a mixed practice until September 2020 when they became small animals only.

The Practice:

They are a friendly bunch and the kettle is always on. They are a busy practice with lots of opportunities for RVNs to use their qualifications. This is an independent practice that is well established in the community, they were a mixed practice until September 2020 when they became small animals only. Therefore, they have some exciting plans for improvements in the small animal facilities, but already have both surgeries fully equipped with diagnostic and surgical facilities (digital x-ray, ultrasound, in-house lab incl. culture and sensitivity, blood analysis, endoscope, etc.)

The Role and Candidate:

The team currently consists of 6 vets, 9 or 10 nursing team (currently on 9, want to go back to 10!), 4 receptionists. They are a friendly bunch. With Covid, they are currently split into 2 teams across their two sites, but out of hours you would be required to work at either surgery and after Covid, you may well be required to work at both surgeries in the daytime.

This is a full-time position where you will be working 40hrs per week, across 5 days and roughly 1 in 3 Saturday mornings. It would also involve a part in our OOH rota, which is currently about 1 in 7 nights on call and 1 in 7 weekends on call. Being on call does not involve staying at the surgery, it involves being available and within a suitable range of the surgeries for the time that the RVN is on call.

The Package:

In return, our client can offer a competitive salary (DOE) and benefits package
