Permanent Registered Veterinary Nurse - Leeds

We are working with a practice in Leeds, West Yorkshire, that is looking to recruit a Registered Veterinary Nurse on a full or part-time permanent basis to join their friendly team.

The Practice:

Our client offers the latest state-of-the-art equipment, to ensure prompt diagnoses and the most effective treatments. Their purpose-built, modern surgery has been designed to industry-leading standards and has state of the art equipment including in-house operating theatre and laboratory, digital x-ray, purpose-built dental suite, and much more. Their highly trained veterinary surgeons and nurses are kept constantly updated on the latest innovations and protocols. They offer a full range of treatments from health checks to emergency operations and they are always committed to providing exceptional veterinary services. They also have a purpose built dental suite and cattery and are an ISFM Gold Standard clinic

The Role and Candidate:

This role can be flexible - our client is happy to consider full or part-time or even weekend-only contracts. They provide an OOH service for fifteen practices in the region (ECC, in-patient care and referral work standard) and are currently going through RCVS hospital accreditation. Our client is looking for a confident person with excellent technical skills. Clinical experience assisting in a high-volume veterinary practice is necessary, as all staff are cross-trained and you will often be responsible for everything from the patient being admitted to being discharged. You’ll be confident at placing catheters, administering and monitoring anesthesia, as you’ll be supervised but not handheld or micromanaged. You’ll also be dealing with clients through consultations giving advice and liaising regarding their pets' care. You’ll answer phone calls positively, in line with their practice philosophy in this progressive and forward-thinking practice.

The Package:

Our client is offering a generous CPD allowance, pension, RCVS/VDS membership paid, 5 weeks holiday, your birthday off, as well as income protection and life insurance.
