​Permanent Registered Veterinary Nurse - Leeds

Practice: Part of a group

Team:They are looking for a nurse to join them as part of their surgical team as part of a rota which is mixed between prep, theatre, and anaesthesia. You will be joining a team of 12 RVNs, 7 SVNs, and 9 VCAs who support their 14 vets. The team includes clinical coaches and mentors meaning that at whatever stage of your career, whether you have specialised already or not, they can support you and provide training.

This means they provide the best care possible to their patients, no matter what they visit them for. As an ISFM Gold and RAW silver practice, they strive to constantly exceed expectations so they can continue to be the number one choice for veterinary care in the area.

Role:Two additional surgical nurses are required to support their new (extended) surgical suites within their hospital. Proficiency in anaesthesia, and a general interest in surgical educational development. Experience with orthopaedic kits and equipment is also beneficial although not a pre-requisite

Hours: 

  • This is a full-time role offering flexible shifts between 7:30 am and 8:30 pm which includes 1 in 4 weekends.

Candidate:

  • Highly experienced, certificate-holding nursing (surgical and in-patient) team support

  • Be part of their ever-expanding (67 colleagues) team, including certificate holder vet support, mental health first aiders, and life-coach mentorship in-house support.

  • The first opinion, hospital, OOH Emergency, and referral caseload (supporting 15 vets4pets in the region)

  • Dedicated (separate) night clinical teams
