Permanent Registered Veterinary Nurse - Leicester

Team: Their fun and supportive team is made up of 2 experienced SVNs, 2 RVNs, and 2 Vets who have over 23 years of experience combined, headed up by a Practice Manager with 14 years of nursing experience, some of which in an ophthalmology referral practice, and a strong, supportive reception team.

Facilities: Their surgery boasts state-of-the-art equipment including digital X-ray with dental X-ray soon to be included, ultrasound, and in-house analysers. At this practice, they enjoy a varied caseload including exotics as well as the usual routine cases.

Role: They are seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their friendly team.

  • We are working with a practice in Leicester looking for the ideal person to join their fun, balanced environment.
  • They want their nurses to feel valued and well, Nurse!! From phlebotomy to Lab analysis to schedule 3.
  • Interested in exotics? They have their very own exotics vet along with their wonderful general Vet.

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours a week ranging from 8:30 am- 7 pm shared equally (consider 4-day weeks). An equally shared mix of early and late shifts of 8:30 am–4.30 pm or 11 am–7 pm

Weekends: Currently no weekends but the potential for 1 in 4 as they are also expanding their vet team.

OOHs: NO OOH

Duties: The duties are shared equally with a great mix of theatre, prep, recovery, inpatient care, and Nurse consults.

Skills/Exp:

  • Confident RVN with a passion for small animals and exotics! Potential to be a clinical coach to educate and encourage new students.
  • Can keep the standard of the profession through the highs and the lows.
  • Happy to get stuck in and will thrive on those busy days.
  • Enjoys meeting clients (even the challenging ones!), building relationships with them, and getting to know them and their pets.
  • You are kind, honest, trustworthy, and willing to be an integral part of their work family.

Salary: They are offering a very competitive salary of up to £27,000 p/a (DOE)
