A single-site practice with a dedicated team, its 24/7 hospital offers a range of services including physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, acupuncture, and light laser therapy. They are RCVS accredited and offer EMS placements for veterinary students. They have three theatres, a dental suite, in-house radiography, and a laboratory. Its site also offers separate waiting areas and consultancy rooms for cats, dogs, and rabbits, with its team earning silver RWAF accreditation as a rabbit-friendly practice.

Role: Our client’s busy first opinion 24-hour Veterinary Hospital, based near Manchester requires an enthusiastic veterinary nurse to help during the day

Duties: The role can be circulating through multiple departments, including theatre, consults, pharmacy, emergency, and inpatient care. They are also recruiting an RVN with a keen interest in theatre and anaesthesia roles.

Hours:

  • Variable shift patterns available working 10-hour shifts from 7 am to latest 8 pm
  • With a share of 1 in 5 weekends.
  • The role is 40 hrs per week over 4 days allowing for a great work-life balance.

Team and Support:

  • You will be working alongside our client’s dedicated and experienced team of Vets and Nurses, which will enable you to learn new skills and grow within the practice.
  • They are a very hands-on nursing team with plenty of chances to use all your nursing skills including schedule 3 activities.
  • The practice is friendly, and forward-thinking and encourages nurse progression through various CPD avenues, many of our client’s current staff have or are participating in certificates and further nurse training.

Salary: They are offering a competitive salary of between £27,000-£30,000 p/a (DOE)
