Permanent Registered Veterinary Nurse, North Yorkshire

We are currently working with a fabulous independent small animal veterinary practice based in a delightful market town based in North Yorkshire. The owner would like to recruit a permanent Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their growing and expanding team.

The Practice:

This is a friendly clinic located in a lovely location close to the Cleveland Hills offering scenic views over the area and within easy access of the coast and all rail and motorway links to both the north and south.  It is a superb practice that has gone from strength to strength [since opening] which is mainly down to the fact that the owner and the team care about the welfare of companion animals and provide exemplary treatment and service at a realistic cost to their clients. The team consists of 3 dedicated vets, 3 RVNs, and a team of 4 support staff. They have a varied caseload, and with the benefit of the vet’s proficiency and skill handling soft tissue surgery plus other more complicated procedures most cases are all handled in-house. The clinic has all the latest equipment with which to diagnose and treat their animal patients such as ultrasound, X-ray, endoscope, ECG, lab plus more.

This Role:

The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting the vets with taking care of the wellbeing of pets by maintaining a clean and hygienic environment at all times, assisting with animal handling, setting up and monitoring patients through their surgery, and time in the practice. Working within a friendly and experienced team.No training duties. This is a full-time permanent position max 9-hour shifts - hours between 9.00 -18.30 pm [4-day week] 1:3 or 4 Sat  9.00 - 12.00 - NO OOHs Sunday or Bank Holiday working.

The Candidate:

This post would suit a friendly, keen, capable veterinary nurse who is a good team player and relates well to clients, empathising with their concerns and treating their pet with kindness and care.

The Package:

Salary: A highly competitive package is available dependent on skills & experience + CPD and other benefits.
