Permanent Registered Veterinary Nurse - Northumberland/ Tyne and Wear

Role: Permanent Registered Veterinary Nurse

Type: Small Animal

Location: Close to the border of Northumberland and Tyne & Wear

Practice: This is a small animal referral centre, with great facilities in their state-of-the-art purpose-built hospital, including MRI, CT, 3 ultrasounds, ECG, digital radiography, and fluoroscopy. They offer referral services in orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, neurology, internal medicine, ECC, and cardiology.

Team: Consists of 18 vets, 35 nurses, and a Neurology diplomat and resident. All of their vets and some of the Nurses are certificate holders in their designated field or in the process of completing their certificates.

Hours: You will work a varied rota rotating through different departments weekly. Working 5 x times 8hrs shifts Monday-Friday.

Weekends: With 1:5/6 weekends and time off in Lieu following weekend shifts allowing a good work, life balance.

Duties: You will see a very interesting and varied caseload which will encourage you to utilise the skill set you have acquired along your career path thus far. They in return encourage you to develop these skills further by supporting you with CPD funding for certificates in areas of interest and mutual benefit.

Applicant Requirements:

  • They are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking nurse who has an interest in inpatient care, surgery, ECC, Medicine, and imaging diagnostics. 
  • You will be a dedicated RVN who works well within a team and has an interest in a referral caseload.

Salary: Competitive Salary - Commensurate with experience (between £20,000-£25,000 p/a)
