Permanent Registered Veterinary Nurse - Plymouth

Location: Outskirts of Plymouth - near the border of Devon and Cornwall

Practice Type: Independent Practice

Facilities: RCVS-accredited Small Animal Practice, in purpose-built premises located on the edge of Dartmoor, near Plymouth

Team: They have 3 RCVS GDP advisors, between them holding GP Certs in ophthalmology and surgery. A further 2 vets with interests in dentistry and cardiology. They have a strong nursing team consisting of RVN’s, SVN’s and additional support staff

Hours: They are currently looking to recruit a full-time, 4-day week, but will consider part-time.

Duties: The veterinary team is supportive and encourages clinical discussion and collaboration among Vets and Nurses.  

OOHS/Weekends: They are proud to offer clients and patients continuity of care by providing their own ‘out-of-hours’ service. The out-of-hours is generally quiet with on-site nursing staff covering nights, and weekend hospital cases.

Skills/Exp: At this stage, they would prefer a candidate with some experience.  

Package:

• The salary is between £12-£14 per hour (£22,800 to £26,580 pa plus ooh) the ooh component if full-time adds approx £35,000 to the basic salary, therefore, £26,300 to £30,000 pa.
