Permanent Registered Veterinary Nurse - Redditch

Our client is a successful and growing first opinion practice and they are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join them on a full-time permanent basis.

The Practice:

Based in Redditch, Worcestershire, they pride themselves on providing care to their clients and patients to the same standard that they expect for their own pets. With full clinical freedom, they deliver high standards of the best medicine. They have a strong focus on teamwork and work-life balance and support Just Culture in a very supportive environment. They are an RCVS and ISFM accredited nurse training centre. They continuously and actively update their policies and procedures, to follow the current evidence-based veterinary medicine, with all the team encouraged to get involved. Based in large purpose-built premises, they are well equipped with an excellent range of diagnostic facilities. The practice includes five consult rooms, two operating theatres, a diagnostic suite (with digital X-ray and ultrasound), a dental suite (with dental X-ray), comprehensive Idexx In-house laboratory equipment, tonopen, plus all the other usual tools! Separate dog ward, cat ward, small furry ward, isolation ward (this is on a separate floor to other wards). 

The Role and Candidate:

You will be joining a team of 4 full-time veterinary surgeons, 6 full-time registered veterinary nurses, 3 full-time and 3 part-time customer care advisors, and one full-time student nurse. Full-time veterinary nurses work a 40 hour week, with one full weekday off. The weekend rota is 1:3. After working a weekend, the following week, you receive a long weekend off with no out of hours. Our client is looking for a newly qualified veterinary nurse or a nurse with a range of experiences who is keen to progress their skills. You should have great client communication skills, enjoy working in a team, be eager to develop into the best version of yourself while supporting your colleagues to do the same. If you also have a great sense of humour and enjoy having fun at work, then you will fit right in!
