Permanent Registered Veterinary Nurse - Salford, Greater Manchester

Practice Type: Part of a group

Facilities: The practice is extremely well equipped with state-of-the-art equipment providing advanced orthopaedic and keyhole surgery. The team also sees a wide variety of cases and has a growing number of insured clients allowing cases to be thoroughly investigated and worked up to a high standard.

Team: You will be joining a team of 4 vet surgeons, 4 registered veterinary nurses, 5 receptionists, and 1 practice manager who work closely together to provide a supportive environment for patients, clients, and colleagues alike.

Hours: This position is full time averaging 40 hours a week including a weekend rota of just 1 in 5 and no OOH.

Skills/Exp:

• The ideal candidate will be caring, strong, pay attention to detail, and have great communication skills. 
• A strong level of general nursing is required and above all else, you will be passionate and dedicated to providing an outstanding service for our clients and their pets.
• You will be registered with the RCVS and competent in all general nursing

Duties: Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing animals for surgery and supporting in surgery 
• Administration of drugs, anesthetics, and injections     
• Nurse clinics     
• X-rays     
• Inpatient care     
• Cleaning
