Permanent Registered Veterinary Nurse - Southport

We are working on behalf of a small animal practice in Southport, Lancashire that is looking for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join them on a full-time permanent basis. They would consider a job share for this role.

The Practice:

Our clients' aim is to give pet owners the best advice that is in the best interests of their pet in order to maintain or improve their health. They mainly focus on the care and treatment of cats and dogs but also small mammals such as rabbits, birds, and reptiles. Clients can feel comfort in knowing their pet will be seen by the same vet each visit, to ensure consistency of treatment. They are always willing to offer help and advice whether you are thinking about getting your first pet or looking after an elderly animal.

You will be working alongside a very experienced team of 3 Vets. Their facilities include digital X-ray, Ultrasound machine, Operating theatre with state of the art anaesthetic and surgical equipment, Ultrasound, and dental machine.

The Role and Candidate:

Our client is recruiting for an experienced RVN to join their team on a permanent basis. The opening hours of the practice are 8.30-18.00 Monday - Friday, and Saturday 9.00-13.00. The practice is happy to consider a full-time position of 35 hours per week or a job share. 

To qualify for this role you must a qualified nurse that is confident with all general nursing duties in particular Nursing clinics. 

The Package:

In return, our client is offering a competitive salary that will be reflective of your experience and benefits that include:

  • Holiday leave - usually 4 weeks.
  • CPD provided and paid for to RCVS requirements - will fund more if the nurse can justify the outlay.
