Permanent Registered Veterinary Nurse, Tamworth

We are working with a long-established small animal veterinary practice based in Tamworth, Staffordshire that is looking for a full-time Registered Veterinary Nurse to join them on a permanent basis. They are looking for two RVNs to join their friendly team that is critical to the provision of high standards of client and patient care. 

The Practice:

Our client is based across two locations in the Staffordshire area and they have an experienced team of nine vets and thirteen nurses that provide the best clinical care to their patients. Their thirty-strong team includes many colleagues with advanced qualifications and the practice has state-of-the-art services. With experience in Orthopaedic Surgery, Soft Tissue Surgery, Ophthalmology, Cardiology, Dermatology, Arthritis Management, and Cancer Treatment, they only refer out a small number of their cases.

The practice facilities include In-house blood testing, Endoscopy, Ultrasound, ECG, and radiography to name a few. Their focus is to provide a good service at an affordable price in a friendly busy environment.

The Role and Candidate:

This is a full-time permanent position where you will be working 4 long days per week, with a weekend rota of 1 in 6, which works out as follows -

40 hrs, 1 Sat Am WK 5 and Full weekend WK 6 with a day off after your weekend in addition to your normal day off. You will be joining a close-knit team, with the majority of the team having 5-20 years' services.

The role covers all aspects of the nursing role, you will undertake all general nursing duties within the practice and provide assistance to all veterinary surgeons when required.

You will be a qualified RVN with experience of duties within the veterinary practice, you will be able to demonstrate excellent knowledge and deliver outstanding patient and client care. Good, clear written and verbal skills are essential in this role with a professional manner and great the ability to work as part of a team.

The Package:

In return, they are offering an excellent salary of between £20,000-£24,000 p/a (DOE) and benefits package that will be discussed in the interview.
