Permanent Registered Veterinary Nurse, Wandsworth London

We are currently working with a well-established veterinary practice based in South West London that is seeking a full-time Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their team. The practice strives to provide a professional and friendly service to its clients and their companion animals. A great deal of investment has gone into this clinic to cater to varied and in some cases more complex surgeries. This has meant that they not only have been able to build on their loyal base while retaining regular clients who frequent the practice. 

The Practice:

This is a friendly practice where it aims to put pets first. The practice offers a high quality of care and has provided an honest, personal, and compassionate service for over 30 years. The practice offers 15-minute consultations for an unrushed, thorough appointment. They have a dedicated team of 4 vets, 4 nurses, and 2 receptionists. The practice is based near Clapham Common and cares for all pet species including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, and other small furries and exotics. The practice is also equipped with surgery and all the modern equipment.

The Role:

This is a full-time permanent role working a 40-hour week with no OOH or On-Call duties. You will be working 5 days a week, with shifts of 08:30-19:30 with a 1:4 (1:3 to cover holidays) Saturday mornings which is 08:30-13:00, (paid for a full day). The job involves all general duties expected within a small practice including calculating drugs, blood pressure, and catheters.

The Candidate:

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, driven, and have a passion for Veterinary Nursing. This position would be suitable for an experienced RVN with 2 years plus post-graduate experience. CPD and ongoing development are strongly supported.

  • Salary: Circa £26,000 p/a - dependent on experience.
