Ser4rch - Veterinary Specialists are working with an established Referral Practice that has an incredible reputation with their local (and not so local) community and are wanting to add to their experienced team to continue in the same vein.
Type: Small Animal
Location: Bristol
Practice: Referral Veterinary Hospital.
Facilities: Their suites are fully kitted out with the latest equipment including an Oertli OS4 phaco/VR machine, endolaser, high-frequency ultrasound, ERG, cross-linking - Come and visit them and see for yourself!
Team: A growing team, which currently consists of 8 veterinary ophthalmologists, a dedicated ophthalmology nursing team, and support staff.
Role: Throughout the years, they have developed their ophthalmology service to a point where they are now one of the largest and best-equipped teams in the UK, performing complex Ophthalmic surgical procedures across a wide and varied caseload.
Title: They are looking for a Permanent Residency-trained, Board-Eligible or Board Certified Ophthalmologist ECVO/ACVO to join their team.
Hours: They understand to get the best out of employees they need to be flexible around everyone’s personal life, and with that being said they are open to both full-time and part-time clinicians joining them.
Duties: Your job role will be to manage your own referral caseload, offer Ophthalmic consults, and perform high-end surgical procedures. You will be able to independently treat emergency ophthalmic patients both surgically and medically.
Applicant Requirements
Essential:
- MRCVS
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Certificate in Veterinary Ophthalmology minimum requirement
- AVP status expected and preferred but not essential will be expected to obtain ASAP if not held
- Experience in working in a referral Veterinary Ophthalmology department is expected but not essential
- High level of clinical competence in diagnostic procedures, medical and surgical management of a wide range of common ophthalmic conditions
- CT experiences an advantage
Salary: With salaries up to £130,000 DOE and a cracking benefits package to go alongside, you’ll be well looked after.
