Permanent Residency-Trained/Board Certified ECVS/ACVS Surgeon

Se4rch Veterinary Specialists are working with a well-established referral centre, which has been providing referral services to the South West, Wales, and the Midlands for over 20 years. 

Type: Small Animal

Location: Dursley area of Gloucestershire

Practice: Their brand new, extended, and refurbished hospital is situated in the heart of the Cotswolds, just north of Bristol. They have full diagnostic facilities on site, including; CT, direct DR, rigid and flexible endoscopy, ultrasounds, and much more.

Team:

  • Their fantastic team is made up of 3 surgeons (1 ECVS diplomate, 2 AP), 4 medics ( 1 ACVS diplomate, 1 PhD, 2 AP), 3 cardiologists ( RCVS diplomates and AP), 1 ophthalmologist (AP), 1 resident (surgery), 3 interns, 27 nurses, 3 admins and 3 managers.
  • They have dedicated specialists across the team, in areas such as; soft tissue surgery, orthopaedics, internal medicine, oncology, cardiology, ophthalmology, and pet rehabilitation.
  • They pride themselves on the delivery of high-quality care, having an open culture, team collaboration, and maintaining a happy workplace.

Hours:

  • You will be responsible for the primary orthopaedic caseload, working 20/30 hours per week between 8:30 – 18:30
  • There is an on-call schedule shared across the surgical and intern team, with remuneration for any out of hours work

OOHS: Potentially cold include on-call

Skills/Experience: Preferably you will have specialist status or be residency trained. They will also accept applications from vets who have AP experience in a referral setting. You will have great communication skills and the desire to work alongside the team to deliver stellar service to clients and their pets.
