Our client is a unique, established, and growing independent practice based in the Scottish Borders. Owing to growth they are now able to offer a fantastic opportunity for an RVN to join them on a full-time permanent basis in their referral department specialising in regenerative and stem cell medicine

The Practice:

Our client is the UK's leading, well-established, expanding, independent referral centre, with regards to the use of stem cell therapy in domestic pets. Their dedicated team of 2 vets, 2 nurses, 3 VCAs, and 2 physiotherapists, strive to offer the highest possible standards of care to clients, and their animals in their own community, and also those referred from elsewhere. Based in a lovely new purpose-built, state of the art building, theirs is a happy, fun, family feel team, who are very passionate about regenerative medicine, and the innovations in veterinary care to all animals great and small that they treat.

They have successfully treated more dogs with stem cells than any other veterinary practice in the country. Stem cell therapy and regenerative medicine techniques are revolutionising the way vets and human doctors now approach certain disease conditions. New applications for this exciting new medical technique feature regularly in the news.   

The Role and Candidate:

This is a new full-time permanent RVN role to join our clients' expanding team in their stem cell therapy & regenerative medicine department. The hours of work are Mon- Fri 8.30- 17.00, no sole charge, 1:8 OOHs [not compulsory] good work-life balance and package.

This position would suit a sensible and efficient RVN who has been qualified for at least 3 years. An RVN who is interested in diagnostics, osteoarthritis, pain management, and is passionate and committed to improving all aspects of patient care. A good team player. A great opportunity for a competent RVN wishing to specialise but may have no referral experience.

The Summary:

Role: Permanent RVN [Regenerative Medicine Department]

Type: Small Animal First Opinion & Referral Service 95% referral - Regenerative Medicine. 5% small animal GP practice. 

Location: Scottish Borders

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30 - 5:00

Sole charge: No- working as part of a team

OOHs: 1:8 however not compulsory

Computer System: Robovet

Branch Work: Unlikely

Salary Range: Competitive & negotiable + depending on skills and experience

Benefits: 

  • CPD £500 plus 2.5 days but anything is negotiable if beneficial to the nurse/practice. 
  • RCVS, VDS [negotiable]
  • Holidays: 35 days.

  • Vehicle: Not required however the practice is rural
