Team: Currently, there is a team of 9 Ophthalmologists and an amazing nursing team who are dedicated to Referral Ophthalmology only. They are looking for a senior Ophthalmologist to work alongside them and give specialised advice and treatment when appropriate.
Role: Our client is looking for a Senior Ophthalmologist to join their dedicated team. The successful candidate will be an essential part of a well-established Ophthalmology team with an excellent reputation for the gold standard patient and client care.
Hours: Both full-time and part-time/flexible working would be considered across 4/5 days per week.
Weekends/OOHS: 1:4 weekends and 1 night per week on-call for out-of-hours emergencies.
Duties: Your job role will be to manage your own referral caseload, offer Ophthalmic consults, and perform high-end surgical procedures. You will be able to independently treat emergency ophthalmic patients both surgically and medically.
Applicant Requirements
Essential:
- MRCVS
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Certificate in Veterinary Ophthalmology minimum requirement
- AVP status expected and preferred but not essential will be expected to obtain ASAP if not held
- Experience in working in a referral Veterinary Ophthalmology department is expected but not essential
- High level of clinical competence in diagnostic procedures, medical and surgical management of a wide range of common ophthalmic conditions
- CT experiences an advantage
Salary: Competitive Salary - Commensurate with experience (between £55,000-£75,000 p/a)
