Permanent Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon - Neath Port Talbot

We are working with a well established mixed veterinary practice in the Neath Port Talbot area of South West Wales that is looking for a full or part-time small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join them on a permanent basis. They are looking for an enthusiastic team player to join them and support the small animal side of the practice.

The Practice:

Our client is a dedicated team of veterinary surgeons, nurses and support staff who will always put the pet’s needs first. They are enthusiastic and approachable with expertise covering all aspects of veterinary medicine and surgery. The practice has been established at its main base in Neath for over eighty five years. The practice currently serves a wide area of South Wale.

OUT OF HOURS SERVICE: As a practice, they provide round the clock cover for their clients. They are proud to be one of the few remaining practices to offer all clients their own emergency out of hours service, giving clients and their pet the continuity of service they deserve. In an emergency patients will be seen by one of the vets at the Neath surgery where there will be full access to all the pet's clinical history. Nurses are on-site 24-hours a day to care for pets. The emergency phone line is operated by their own veterinary team to ensure they get the best advice as quickly as possible. They are a genuine mixed practice, working with a wide range of species from all the usual pets to farm stock and even the odd monkey.

The Role and Candidate:

You will be joining a long-established 13 vet independent mixed practice, big enough to have plenty of experience on site but small enough to retain a family friendly feel. They are looking for an enthusiastic team player to join them and support the small animal side of the practice.

This permanent role can be either full or part-time, with an out-of-hours rota of 1 in 6 to 1 in 8.

Their rota allows for a generous amount of lieu days and time off to enjoy all the local beaches and mountains they have on the doorstep.

They have all the usual equipment and an excellent team of qualified nurses, including 24 hour on site nursing.

The Package:

They actively encourage CPD with plenty of opportunity for professional development including attaining certificates. The salary on offer is commensurate with experience and prorata for part-time hours.
