We are currently recruiting on behalf of a busy, friendly small animal veterinary hospital based in Edinburgh, they are looking for a Twilight Registered Veterinary Nurse to start as soon as possible. The Twilight hours are 3 pm – 11 pm Monday – Friday.
The Practice:
Our client committed to providing the best veterinary care for clients and their pets, 24 hours a day 365 days a year. Employing only the best staff and investing in the most up to date equipment. They provide health care for dogs, cats, rabbits, rats, guinea pigs, other small furries, and budgies. The Vets and nurses must fulfill annual training requirements to continue providing top quality care to their clients' pets. But even the most dedicated vet cannot work without a high standard of modern equipment and nursing support. Facilities include X-Ray, Ultrasound, Dental X-ray, etc.
The Role:
This is a full-time position working 41 ½ hours per week. Monday to Friday 3pm-11pm with 1 full night per week 6 pm – 8.30am, the following day you will be working 6 pm – 11 pm. You will be working alongside 7 3/4 vets and 7/8 nurses during the day and 1 Vet and 1 nurse for the out of hours. Typical daily duties all depends on what is going on when you start shift, this could be surgeries, inpatient care etc. from 6 pm it could be anything from overnight stay from other practices, inpatient care or emergencies. There are no weekend requirements for this role, and there will be no sole charge.
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate must be confident, enthusiastic and sensitive to the client and patient needs. A keen interest in ECC work is desirable but not essential.
The position would suit a candidate with 1 years’ experience but confident newly qualified RVN’s will be considered. The opportunity to complete a certificate is on offer and is supported by the practice.
