We are working with a small friendly diagnostic laboratory in Watford that is looking for a part-time Veterinary Clinical Pathologist to join them on a permanent basis. You must be a qualified Vet that is registered with the RCVS that has a post-graduate qualification in Veterinary Clinical Pathology (FRCPath, ECVCP, or ACVP).

The Practice:

Our client is a Lab Services that is a small, friendly diagnostic laboratory based in Watford.

They place a strong emphasis on client care and service quality; they are UKAS-accredited to the new 17025:2017 standard and provide diagnostic services in Clinical Pathology and Microbiology.

They are continually expanding and developing their diagnostic service; their new Molecular Biology service has recently commenced, several large refurbishment projects have recently completed and they are introducing a new LIMS system later this year.

The Role and Candidate:

The successful candidate will be included in a rota pattern across Monday to Saturday and will be expected to work 20-24 hours per week.

As Clinical Pathologist you will be expected to contribute to the delivery of timely diagnostic service, with an emphasis on cytology reporting. You will also be responsible for liaising with veterinary clients to provide advice on the appropriate diagnostic testing and assist with the interpretation of laboratory results. You will also ensure that you maintain high-quality standards including in the contribution of regular case discussions.

You must be eligible to hold a membership with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (MRCVS) and have a post-graduate qualification in Veterinary Clinical Pathology (FRCPath, ECVCP, or ACVP)
