We are currently recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice based 20 minutes out of Worthing, they are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their team on a permanent basis. They are a proud independent small animal practice who have been in the area for over 35 years.

 

The Practice:

Our client is a based in West Sussex over 3 surgeries and Veterinary care is provided by a dedicated team of 6 Vets who are supported by nurses, animal care assistants, receptionists and office staff. From routine health check to complex orthopaedic procedures, health care advice to export certification, the practice have the facilities, experience and expertise to provide for all pet’s and clients needs. The client and pet’s welfare is always number one priority, their clean modern practice are committed to providing the very best in veterinary care. Facilities include Large Kennel facilities accommodating 8 Cats and 6-9 dogs, with a separate kennel area for anxious patients, Digital X-ray, Ultrasound, Digital Capnograph, Pulse Oximeter, Advanced Orthopaedic kit.

 

The Role:

This is a full-time role working 35 hours per week and will include 2 nights on duty per week. The rota consists of Monday and Wednesday 5 pm – 8 pm (If inpatients until 10 pm) and then sleep at the practice to do checks when required, Tuesday and Thursday 7 am – 12.30 pm, Friday 11 am – 7 pm and then stay over at the practice for the night, Saturday 7 am – 12.30 pm (If there are in-patients the nurse stays at Storrington for the night sleeping but also doing checks if they are required). If there are no in-patients and no other duties needing to be completed, the nurse may leave at 5 pm Saturday and return for 7 am on the next working day either Monday morning or Tuesday if there is a Bank Holiday.
