We are currently working with a practice that is looking to recruit a small animal registered veterinary nurse on a permanent basis in Sevenoaks, Kent. This position is to start as soon as possible.


The Practice:

This practice was initially a mixed practice and established over a 100 years ago in 1926 before changing its name to the current clients in 1983. Today they are a small animal practice only.

Their equipment includes digital radiography, ultrasound and endoscopy, 15 mins consultations, health check-ups and vaccinations, diagnostic imaging, surgical services, dental services, laboratory services, rehabilitation and fitness, dermatology, nurse consults, pet passports, 24-hour hospitalisation and emergency care and euthanasia services.


The Role:

This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday to Friday either 7 am - 4 pm, 8 am - 5 pm or 9 am - 6 pm depending on shifts. The weekend rota is 1:7, working in practice from 8 am until 12 pm on Saturdays. There is an on-call requirement of 1:14 with time back in lieu.

Nurses carry out inpatient care, surgery assistance, and nurse clinics on a rota.


In return, the practice can offer a salary starting at £20,000, plus funded CPD, RCVS fees,


The Candidate:

The practice is looking for a recently qualified nurse, who is eager to learn and develop. The ideal candidate will have extremely high standards of care and practice and will fit in well with the existing team of 9-day nurses.
