We are working with a fantastic practice that is looking to recruit a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their happy and enthusiastic team on a permanent basis at their practice in Rochester, Kent.
The Practice:
This client is a long- established family run business. All of their four branches have their own X-ray, operating theatres and diagnostic equipment, with use of Robovet computer system. The practice enjoys a relaxed and professional environment with 45 members of staff across the group, 13 of whom are RVNs, with a trainee and auxiliary nurses at each branch.
The Role:
The role involves a good variety of nurse clinics, surgical and inpatient duties as well as being involved in the smooth running of the branch. There will be some sole nursing at weekends and occasional weekdays depending on the branch being worked at.
During the week there are shift patterns between 8 am and 7:45 pm, usually there will be only one late shift per week. Weekend shifts vary dependent on the branch you cover, but at the main branch, Saturday shifts are 8:45 am to 4:45 pm and usually works out at one Saturday in four. Sundays are worked approximately every twelve weeks and hours are 8:45 am to 12:45 pm. There is one bank holiday shift every 18 months approximately from 8:45 am to 12:45 pm. There is no out of hours or on call for the RVN role.
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have good general nursing experience and great customer service skills, have a friendly and flexible approach and work well as part of a team. Ideally, the candidate will be a clinical coach or will have the desire to become one, in order to be a vital part of the practice's trainee nurse development.
For the right candidate, there may be the possibility of progressing and becoming a nurse branch manager.
