We are currently recruiting on behalf of a dedicated, small animal practice based in Stirlingshire, Scotland. Our client is looking for a full-time Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their team on a permanent basis.
A purpose-built veterinary hospital situated in Stirling, that has state of the art facilities and equipment including specialist neurology facilities. With an experienced team of seven 1st opinion and five specialist vets, eleven full-time veterinary nurses, two part-time veterinary nurses and an animal care assistant. They are all dedicated to providing the highest standard of care in-house. The practice has remained independent with the two founding partners still involved and running the practice.
This is a full-time position working 40hrs per week, nurses work a 10-week rolling rota. The shifts are between 8 am and 7 pm, either 8.00 to 4.30, 9.00 to 5.30 or 10.30 to 7.00. There are weekend hours of 8 am to 6 pm on Saturdays, and 10 am to 6 pm on Sundays followed by two nights of 4.15pm to 9 am which factor into the rota, and will be worked twice every 10 weeks. This is a clinical nursing role, assisting with operations, inpatient care, and some cleaning but no reception work.
The practice is looking for a friendly and enthusiastic nurse who will fit in well with the existing team. The ideal candidate will enjoy all aspects of clinical nursing and thrive in a busy hospital atmosphere.
In return, the practice can offer a salary of £18,500 for newly graduated nurses up to £20,000 for more experienced candidates, plus CPD allowance, RCVS fees paid for and pension scheme.
