We are currently recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice based in Essex/North East London who are looking for a hard working permanent Veterinary Nurse to join their team on a full-time basis.
Our client is a fully equipped RCVS accredited small animal independent practice with modern surgical and diagnostic facilities including, spacious consultation rooms, surgical suites using state of the art monitoring equipment, digital x-rays, ultrasound, in-house laboratory suite, hydrotherapy, separate cat and dog wards, isolation facilities, free parking, climate controlled building, disabled access and facilities and a training room. The practice is modern and easily accessible from Essex and London. They are a training practice for both vets and nurses and have a large team of experienced vets and veterinary nurses providing excellent veterinary care for small animals and exotic animals. Known for their quality Veterinary care, they recognise that pets are “Family members”, “beings in their own rights”, little furry people. With this in mind, they set about attracting likeminded professionals to their team.
This is a full-time position currently working on a 10-week rota which is expanding to a 12-week rota. You will be required to work 1 in 3 weekends and one week of nights (on-premises inpatient care) followed by a week off. You will be joining a team of friendly, knowledgeable Vets (8 expanding to 10) and Nurses (18 expanding to 20) who are able to provide support if needed.
The ideal candidate must be confident with clients and have good knowledge, with strong client/patient focus. With a broad caseload significantly higher than the average first opinion practice and a rehoming program for strays, you must be organised, caring and ready to join “team fit”. Qualified and non-qualified nurses will be considered.
